CBIC: Five IRS-I&CT officers promoted to Chief Commissioner/ DG grade

In a significant development on Thursday (03.08.2023), the central government elevated a total of five officers from the batches of 1990 and 1991 to the esteemed position of Chief Commissioner/ Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxes (C&IT) in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes). This promotion comes under the panel year 2023.

This promotion comes under the panel year 2023.

They are;

  1. Bandhana Deori (batch 1990)
  2. Valte Vungzamuan (batch 1990)
  3. Amand Shah (batch 1991)
  4. Chandra Prakash Goyal (batch 1991)
  5. Prachi Saroop (batch 1991)

Their regular posting will be decided in due course of time with the approval of the Competent Authority. Till then, they shall assume the charge of the promotional post on in situ basis.
