Sanjay Kumar Jain returns to his parent cadre

Sanjay Kumar Jain (IRTS:1990), Joint Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (15.02.2023), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Department of Public Enterprises to repatriate Mr. Jain to his parent cadre on the grounds of availing benefits of promotion in the cadre.

Jharkhand: Senior IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh appointed as new DGP

The Jharkhand government on Tuesday (14.02.2023) appointed senior IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh (IPS:1989:JH) as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the state. He has been appointed as the new state police chief upon the retirement of Neeraj Sinha (IPS:1987:JH) as DGP on February 11.

Prior to this assignment, Singh was serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Ltd and was holding charge of DG, Anti Corruption Bureau, Jharkhand.,

This ended the row over the appointment of the DGP as the Supreme Court had in January disposed of a contempt petition against the Jharkhand government and former DGP Neeraj Sinha after the state government said it has received the names of three IPS officers from the UPSC and would appoint new DGP on February 12.

A petition alleged that Sinha had continued to serve as DGP after his retirement on January 31, 2022.

Delhi govt relieves two IAS officers

The Delhi government on Tuesday (14.02.2023) relieved two IAS officers of their responsibilities to take up their new assignments.

IAS officer Aman Gupta (IAS:2013:AGMUT) has been relieved of his responsibilities as Executive Director, DSIIDC and Special Secretary, Industries in order to take up his new assignment with the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Administration. Deputy Commissioner (HQ), Revenue Department Ira Singhal (IAS:2015:AGMUT) was relieved of her responsibilities from 15.02.2023 to take up a new assignment with the Arunachal Pradesh government.

The Union Home Ministry on 06.02.2023 transferred these IAS officers from their current assignment and posted them in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.

C Vamsi Krishna appointed as Dy. Director, SVPNPA Hyderabad

C Vamsi Krishna (IPS:2009:KN), Assistant Director at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, has been appointed Deputy Director at SVPNPA. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Krishna to the post up to the remaining approved tenure, which is 30.01.2024 from the date of joining the post of Deputy Director, or until a regular vacancy arises in the grade of Deputy Director, SVPNPA or until further orders, whichever comes first.

Bhushan Gulabrao Borase appointed as Dy. Director, SVPNPA Hyderabad

Bhushan Gulabrao Borase (IPS:2009:KN), Assistant Director at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), has been appointed as Deputy Director at SVPNPA. The appointment replaces Meghana Yadav (IPS:2007:AGMUT), who was appointed as DIG, CISF on a lateral basis. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the competent authority has approved appointment of Mr. Borase to the post from the date of joining of the post and till remaining approved tenure of the officer i.e. 11.03.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

H Manjunath appointed as DIG, CISF

H Manjunath (IPS:2009:KL), Assistant Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, has been appointed to the post of DIG, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on deputation basis. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Manjunath to the post on deputation basis for a combined tenure of five years (SP-DIG) i.e. upto 10.03.2025 from the date of joining the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Meghana Yadav appointed as DIG, CISF

Meghana Yadav (IPS:2007:AGMUT), Deputy Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, has been appointed to the post of DIG, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on lateral shift basis. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Ms. Yadav to the post on lateral shift basis from the date of joining the post and up to remaining approved tenure of the officer i.e. upto 18.09.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Uttarakhand: Three IAS officers shifted

The Uttarakhand government on Monday (13.02.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 3 IAS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Ravinath Raman (IAS:2004:UK), Secretary, School Education (Primary and Secondary) and Technical Education has been given additional charge of Secretary, Governor.
  2. Ranjeet Kumar Sinha (IAS:2005:UK), Secretary, Governor; Secretary, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation; Secretary, SDRF; Project Director, UEAPUDRP and Project Director, UEAPUDRP-II has been relieved of the charge of Secretary, Governor.
  3. Karmendra Singh (IAS), Additional Secretary, Personnel and Vigilance, Social Welfare and Commissioner, Disabled, has been relieved of the charges of Additional Secretary, Social Welfare and Commissioner, Disabled and given charge of Additional Secretary, Drinking Water.

Dr. Vivek Saxena appointed as Dy. DGF, IRO, Lucknow

Dr. Vivek Saxena (IFoS:1991:HY) has been appointed as Deputy Director General of Forests (Dy. DGF), Integrated Regional Office (IRO) at Lucknow. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (14.02.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Saxena to the post of Dy. DGF, IRO, Lucknow.

Arun Kumar gets extension as OSD to Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar

The deputation tenure of Arun Kumar (Deputy Secretary (CSS)) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar has been extended. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (13.02.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Kumar beyond 16.02.2023 and for a period upto 31.05.2024 or co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Officer on Special Duty to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
