Delhi, J&K LGs likely to be replaced in major reshuffle

As www.legendofficers.com reported on May 20, the Centre is reportedly moving ahead with a reshuffle of key gubernatorial positions. Fresh reports now suggest that significant changes may soon take place, with the Lieutenant Governors of Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir likely to be replaced.

According to sources, Rajesh Khullar (Retd IAS:1988:HY), former World Bank Executive Director and currently serving as Chief Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is being considered for appointment as the next Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

At the same time, incumbent Delhi LG V K Saxena’s name is doing the rounds as a possible replacement for Manoj Sinha as the new LG of Jammu & Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Manoj Sinha—widely known for his proximity to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah—is reportedly being considered for a key organisational role within the BJP at the national level.

These developments indicate that the much-speculated reshuffle could materialize soon, potentially reshaping the political and administrative landscape of both Delhi and J&K.
