Vijay Keshav Gokhale(IFS:1981) assumed charge as the new foreign secretary on Monday for a two-year term. He succeeded former foreign secretary S Jaishankar who completed his term of three-years, including one extended year, this month.

Reserve Bank of India(RBI) has cleared the name of Romesh Sobti to re-appoint him as the Managing Director & CEO of Indusind Bank for the period 1 Feb 2018 to 23 Mar 2020.

Nikhil Varma (IRS:2005), has been appointed as Officer of Special Duty to Shiv Pratap Shukla,the Minister of State for Finance.

Pramod Kumar Gupta has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment. Currently he serves as AGM Engineers India limited.

Rajnish Dev Burman, IRS (IT:1999), has been appointed as Private Secretary to Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of State for Agriculture.

Tsewang Namgyal(IFS: 1992) appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Poland. He was earlier serving as Ambassador of India to Cuba.He is expected to take up his assignment soon.

Vijay Anand has been given extension as Director(Projects), Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd(RVNL) for the period w.e.f 9 April 2018 to 31 July 2019.

Appointment committee of cabinet has cleared the appointment of six joint directors in country’s premier investigative agency (CBI). Of them three were freshly inducted as Joint Director whereas three officers elevated from DIG to Joint Director rank posts.

Inducted as Joint Director:

Praveen Sinha (IPS:1988:GJ), Additional Secretary in CVC has been inducted as Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Ajay Bhatnagar (IPS:1989:MP), IG, CRPF has been inducted as Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI).

Pankaj Kumar Srivastava(IPS:1992:MP) presently in the cadre has been inducted to the post of Joint Director, CBI.
