Pramod Kumar new incharge DGP of Gujrat
Pramod Kumar,a 1983-batch IPS officer,has been appointed incharge DGP after Geetha Johri retired as incharge Director General of Police. Pramod Kumar has been given the additional charge of DGP in addition to his duty as the DG, Civil Defence and Home Guards.Since the model code of conduct is in place, the Election Commission had directed the government to give charge of DGP to the senior-most IPS officer.

Anshu Prakash appointed Chief Secretary of Delhi

Anshu Prakash,a 1986-batch IAS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre,was appointed the chief secretary of the Delhi government.He has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre from the Union rural development ministry.He served as an additional secretary and financial advisor in the ministry.
Prakash’s predecessor M M Kutty was sent to the Union finance ministry as an additional secretary last month. Kutty, a 1985-batch IAS officer, was made Delhi’s chief secretary in November last year.
Pushpa Subrahmanyam posted as Special Secretary, Textiles
The 1985 batch IAS officer of Telangana cadre, Pushpa Subrahmanyam, presently posted as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles has been upgraded to the level of Special Secretary.
Mohan Jha interim DGP of Gujrat
Mohan Jha 1985 batch IPS officer has been made interim DGP of Gujrat.After not getting extention first state women DGP Geetha Johri retired on thursday .Geetha Johri,1982-batch officer was appointed the Incharge DGP this April.
Gujrat has been without a full-tme DGP for about two year,with all the appointments in that time being made on an incharge or additional charge basis.
UP committee finds nothing actionable against most IAS
A review committee has been constituted by Uttar Pradesh government for the purpose of evaluating the records of 42 IAS officers. On November 28, the committee cleared 38 officers, as it found no major ‘actionable’ against them. However, the rest four have been asked to fill the entries, as their records were found incomplete. Once the committee gets the complete entries in the records of four IAS officers, it will meet again to consider their cases.
The group of 42 IAS officers were from two groups: those that completed 15 years of service and those that completed 25 years of service. This committee is only a recommendatory body. The final decision will be taken by the state government.

OP Galhotra appointed new DGP of Rajasthan
The Rajasthan government appointed 1985-batch IPS officer O P Galhotra as the new director general of police. He was posted as the Additional DG of armed battalions earlier and was appointed as the DGP following Ajit Singh’s retirement today.
Galhotra has served as a joint director, DIG and also as the SP in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), inspector general (IG)-rules, IG-railways, IG-Jaipur and as a superintendent of police in Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Chittorgarh and Dholpur.
