The Competent Authority has approved the re-designation of the post of Deputy Dierctor( Deputy Secretary level ) presently held by Raghuraj Rajendra (IAS:2004:MP) in LABSNAA, Mussoorie as Deputy Director (Sr.) (Director level).

Chetan B. Sanghi (IAS:1988:AGMUT), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre without imposing the extended cooling-off condition.

Dr. Shrikar Keshav Pardeshi (IAS:2001:MH) has been appointed Joint Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office for a period ending 09.04.2020.Presently he is posted as Director in PMO. With the appointment Pardeshi becomes first to open the account for his batch which was empanelled to hold JS rank post in Govt of India on July 30.

Prabhakar Singh has been appointed as Director General (DG), Central Public Works Department on re-employment basis for a period of one year beyond 31.07.2018.

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr. Geeta Sharma, Deputy General Manager, steel Authority of India (SAIL) to the post of Director (Finance), HLL Lifecare Limited for a period of five years.PESB had selected her for the post on February 20 this year.

Dr. Dinesh Arora (IAS:2002:KL) appointed to the post of Deputy Chief Executive Officer, National Health Agency (NHA) under the M/o Health and Family Welfare for a period of one year.His central deputation tenure has been extended for another one year. He is presently posted as Director, Ayushman Bharat.

Kamendra Kumar, ED, Telecommunication Consultant India Limited (TCIL) has been appointed to the post of Director (Technical) TCIL for a period of five years.

PESB had selected Kumar for the post on February 07, 2018. He replaces Rajesh Kapoor who retired on January 31 this year.

R Awasthi (IPS:1985:AM), DG, Home Guards and Civil Defence has been asked also to look after the office of the Director General of Police temporarily after Swaraj Bir Singh retired today, officials said.

The order was made in view of a Supreme Court verdict restricting states not to appoint an acting DGP.

“Pending the approval of the Union Public Service Commission and in the interest of public services, R Awasthi is temporarily allowed to look after the DGP office,” Home Commissioner and Secretary S Kharlyngdoh of Meghalaya said in an order.

He said the current charges given to Awasthi is in addition to his own duties and the order shall cease on appointment of a full fledged DGP.

In its July 3 order, the Supreme Court directed the states to send names of senior police officers to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for being considered as probable candidates to be appointed as DGPs or Police Commissioners as the case may be.

The UPSC, in turn, will prepare a list of three most suitable officers and the states will be free to appoint one of them.

Vijay Thakur Singh (IFS:1985), Ambassador in Dublin, has been appointed Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of External Affairs with effect from 15 September 2018 i.e. 15 days ahead the retirement of the outgoing Secretary (East) Ms Preety Saran (IFS:1982). Thakur will take over from Ms Saran on September 30 as Secretary (East).
