PESB selects Salve Sandeep as Director (HR), Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has selected Salve Sandeep for appointment as Director (Human Resources) in Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL). The selection was made during the PESB interview held on October 27, 2025.

Mr. Sandeep is currently serving as General Manager, AVNL. His name has now been forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval, subject to the necessary vigilance clearances.

A total of nine candidates appeared before the PESB for the interview. They were:

CIC JS Brajesh Kumar Pandey repatriated to parent cadre

Brajesh Kumar Pandey (IDAS:2006), Joint Secretary (Director level) in the Central Information Commission (CIC), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (October 27, 2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the CIC to repatriate Mr. Pandey to his parent cadre on personal grounds, with the imposition of an extended cooling-off condition.

Notably, Mr. Pandey was appointed as Joint Secretary in the CIC on September 15, 2021, for a five-year tenure, but he is being repatriated almost a year before the completion of his term.

Amrit Agrahari appointed Director in PMO

In a key bureaucratic appointment, Amrit Agrahari (IRS-IT:2011), presently serving as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), has been appointed as Director in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (October 27, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment for the balance period of his central deputation tenure or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His current deputation tenure is valid up to July 9, 2026, and he will continue in the PMO until that date.

Mr. Agrahari was initially appointed as Deputy Secretary in the DEA for the G-20 Secretariat until February 29, 2024, which was later extendable under the Central Staffing Scheme. Subsequently, on March 15, 2024, he was reappointed as Deputy Secretary in the DEA on the recommendation of the Civil Services Board, with his tenure extended up to July 9, 2026.

IAS Amod Kumar repatriated to parent cadre UP from MeitY

In a key bureaucratic development, senior IAS officer Amod Kumar (IAS:1995:UP), presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (October 27, 2025), the competent authority approved his repatriation to the Uttar Pradesh cadre with the imposition of an extended cooling-off condition.

Mr. Kumar had been serving as Joint Secretary since June 2025, with his tenure initially set to continue until December 12, 2026. He had earlier joined central deputation in December 2021 as Deputy Director General, UIDAI, for a five-year term before moving to the Ministry of Electronics & IT in June 2025.

Haryana govt assigns additional charges to three IAS officers

The Haryana government on Saturday (October 25, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders for three IAS officers, assigning them additional responsibilities along with their current duties.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

  1. G Anupama (IAS:1991:HY), Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes and Antyodaya (SEWA) Department and Additional Chief Secretary, Citizen Resources Information Department, has been given additional charge ACS, Women & Child Development Department.
  2. Pankaj Agarwal (IAS:2000:HY), Principal Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department, has been given additional charge Principal Secretary, Mines & Geology Department.
  3. Dr. Priyanka Soni (IAS:2012:HY), Special Secretary, Vigilance Department, Monitoring & Coordination, Director, New & Renewable Energy and Special Secretary, New and Renewable Energy Department, has been given additional charge of Director/Special Secretary, Women & Child Development.

PESB invites applications for ONGC Director (Finance) post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Director (Finance) in Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). The vacancy notification was issued on Friday (October 24, 2025), with November 14, 2025, set as the deadline for submitting applications through the PESB portal.

Eligible professionals from both public and private sector organizations can apply for the post.

The position will fall vacant on May 1, 2026, following the superannuation of Vivek Chandrakant Tongaonkar, the incumbent Director (Finance). Mr. Tongaonkar has been serving in the post since July 1, 2024.

Rajasthan: 34 IPS officers transferred; Govind Gupta is new DGP, ACB

In a major restructuring of the police administration, the Rajasthan government has issued transfer and posting orders for 34 IPS officers across the state. The Home Department notification, released on Wednesday (October 22, 2025), includes several senior officials being moved to key positions.

Among the top reshuffles, Sanjay Kumar Agrawal (IPS:1992) has been appointed as DGP, Law & Order, while Govind Gupta (IPS:1993) has been moved as DGP, Intelligence.

Notably, three senior ADGP-rank officers have been elevated to DGP-level responsibilitiesAnand Kumar Srivastava, Ashok Kumar Rathore & Malini Agarwal.

In another significant change, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph (IPS:1995) has been replaced by Sachin Mittal (IPS:1996), who will now lead the capital city’s police force.
