Haryana government on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders of 06 IAS officers in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Vijai Vardhan (IAS:1985:HY) : Chief Secretary, General Administration, Personnel, Training, Parliamentary Affairs, Vigilance, Administrative Reforms Departments and Secretary Incharge of Plan Coordination.
  2. Sanjeev Kaushal (IAS:1986:HY) : ACS and Financial Commissioner, Revenue & & Disaster Management and Consolidation Department and Additional chief Secretary, Cooperation Department.
  3. Alok Nigam (IAS:1986:HY) : ACS, Public Works (B&R) and Architecture Department and ACS, Forests & Wildlife Department and ACS, Medical Education & Research Department.
  4. Devender Singh (IAS:1987:HY) : ACS, Irrigation & Water Resources Department, ACS, Public Health Engineering Department and ACS, Skill Development & Industrial Training Department wilh an additional charge of ACS, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.
  5. Rajeev Arora (IAS:1987:HY) : Chief Resident Commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, ACS, Health and Family Welfare, ACS, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice Department and Nodal Officer for COVID-19.

Haryana : Vijai Vardhan appointed as new Chief Secretary

The Haryana government on Wednesday appointed Vijai Vardhan (IAS:1985:HY) as the new Chief Secretary of state. Vardhan replaced Keshni Anand Arora (IAS:1983:HY) who retired on Wednesday. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner, Revenue & Disaster Management and Consolidation Department and Additional chief Secretary, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice Department.

Ajay Kumar Bhalla (IAS:1984:AM), Home Secretary, has been assigned additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular incumbent.

Decision on new Bihar DGP soon, as Nitish Govt sends a list of 09 senior IPS officers to UPSC

A final decision on Bihar’s next DGP is expected soon, as Bihar Government had sent a list of 09 senior Bihar cadre IPS Officers to the UPSC and the announcement on new Bihar DGP can come any time soon. Out of the 09 shortlisted names, the UPSC will select three names and send it to Bihar Government. A.K.Singhal is the interim DGP, on account of situation arising out of Gupteshwar Pandey’s VRS.

The names of these senior DG rank IPS officers are as follows:

1984 batch IPS Officer of DG Rank, Rajesh Ranjan is senior most and is due for retirement on 30th November this year. An IPS Officer should be a minimum of 6 months of service remaining before he or she could be considered for the post of DGP. Barring one, all other officers have more than 6 months of service remaining, and are of DG rank, qualifying them for the post.

The appointment of DGP, which earlier used to be an unilateral decision of the state CMs, can’t be decided unilaterally any longer. Now the state government is bound to select a name out of the list of 3 names given by UPSC.

SAIL Chairman Anil Kumar Chaudhary nominated as Chairman of CII PSE Council

The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), one of the largest of its kind in the Country, has nominated Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, SAIL as the Chairman of its PSE Council.

This PSE Council plays a vital role in the overall functioning of CII, which works with Government and the public sector enterprises on various policy issues and serves as a reference point for the industry. Formed in 2007, the Council has grown from strength to strength over the years. Today, it consists of 96 members comprising 10 Maharatnas, 14 Navratnas and 72 Miniratnas. The CII Council has been taking up various transformative development agenda to build systematic and active engagements with the Central Public Sector Enterprises with the latest being focusing on the path charted by Hon’ble Prime Minister for a self-reliant India. Accordingly, the annual flagship event of the Council scheduled to be held shortly is being planned on the lines and visions of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

The Chairman of CII PSE Council acts as the key interface between government and the members of the Council. The Chairman also represents the Council in all the meetings and networking with the government/policy makers for taking forward the economic and enterprise policy advocacy framework.

On this appointment, Shri Anil Kumar Chaudhary commented, “Every responsibility comes with expectations towards fulfilment of related milestones. The position of Chairman CII PSE Council also carries with it the responsibility of protecting the interests of all member PSEs. CII is a premiere industry body acting as channel and platform for the industry and as the Chairman of its PSE Council, my focus would be on this aspect by channelizing their efforts towards building an “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

PFC eyes Rs 36,000 crore revenue in 2020-21

State-run Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has set a revenue target of Rs 36,000 crore for the current financial year.

PFC has signed a performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ministry of power, detailing various targets to be achieved by it during 2020-21, a company statement said.

According to the statement, the MoU has been signed by power secretary Sanjiv Nandan Sahai and PFC CMD R S Dhillon.

As per the MoU, PFC would eye an ambitious revenue target of Rs 36,000 crore along with various performance-related parameters such as operating profit as percentage of revenue from operation, PAT (profit after tax) as percentage of average net worth and non-financial parameters viz, IPDS-related parameters (Integrated Power Development Scheme).

“PFC has been delivering exemplary performance from the past years and the ratings from the Government of India stands testimony to the performance,” the statement added. (PTI)

Anurag Agarwal (IAS:1990:PB) has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary Home Affairs and Justice in place of Satish Chandra(IAS:1985:PB), who is set to hang up his boots on September 30.
