The Assam government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle in police administration by transferring senior officers responsible for maintaining law and order in the state, amid voilent protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
The names of the officers and their postings as follows :
- K V Singh Deo (IPS:1989:AM) : ADG, BIEO, Assam with additional charge of ADG, Prosecution.
- Mukesh Agrawal (IPS:1989:AM) : ADG, Border.
- L R Bishnoi (IPS:1991:AM) : ADG, CID.
- Deepak Kumar (IPS:1994:AM) : ADG, T&AP with additional charge of STF.
- Munna Prasad Gupta (IPS:1995:AM) : IG, T&AP with additional charge of Commissioner of Police, Guwahati
- N V Chandrakant (IPS:2009:AM) : Principal, Police Training College, Dergaon.
- Nilesh Tryambak Sawakare (IPS:2010:AM) : DCP (West), Commissionerate of Police, Guwahati
- Dr. Dhananjay Parshuram Ghanawat (IPS:2010:AM) : SP, Dhemaji.
- Subashini Sankaran (IPS:2011:AM) : DCP (East), Commissionerate of Police, Guwahati.
