The Central government on Thursday (May 14, 2026) approved a six-month extension in service for Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad (IAS:1991:AP).
According to the approval granted by the Centre, the extension will be effective from June 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026. The extension was approved following a proposal sent by the Andhra Pradesh government.
Prasad was scheduled to retire on May 31, 2026.
He had assumed charge as Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh on March 1, 2026 following the retirement of K Vijayanand (IAS:1992:AP).
