ACC approves appointments of 13 officers at Joint Secretary level

In a major administrative rejig on Monday (14.11.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a number of appointments of officers at Joint Secretary/ Joint Secretary equivalent level.

In a major administrative rejig on Monday (14.11.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a number of appointments of officers at Joint Secretary/ Joint Secretary equivalent level.

They are ;

  1. Asangba Chuba Ao (IAS:2003:BH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation for a tenure of five years. She will replace Ms. Usha Padhee (IAS:1996:OR)
  2. Ajit Bhalchandra Chavan (CSS) has been appointed as Addi. CEO, GeM SPV, Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years. He will replace Deepak Kapoor (lA&AS:1998).
  3. Vishwesh Negi (IFS:2002) has been appointed as OSD (Joint Secretary level), Department of Defence for a tenure of three years vice Somnath Ghosh (IFS:1997).
  4. Jayant Kumar (IRSME:1995) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production for a combined tenure of seven years up to 02.10.2024. He will replace Puneet Agarwal (IAS:1998:TR).
  5. Shalabh Tyagi (IRSEE:1997) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a tenure of five years. He will replace Chandraker Bharti (IAS:1996:AGMUT).
  6. Sanjog Kapoor (IRS-IT:1999) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Education for an overall tenure of five years upto 20.10.2026. He will replace Ms. Darshana Momaya Dabral (IP&TA&FS:1990).
  7. Vinit Kumar (IRSEE:1994) has been appointed as CEO, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVlC), Mumbai under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises for a combined tenure of seven years up to 08.10.2024.He will relace Ms. Preeta Verma (IPS:1991:BH) consequent on completion of her tenure on 20.11.2022.
  8. Ms. Indu Rani Dubey (IRTS:1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure of five years. She replace Ms. Nigar Fatima Husain (IDES:1996).
  9. Som Dutt Sharma (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training for a tenure of five years with additional charge of the post of Director, lSTM.
  10. P Manoj Kumar (ISS:1998) has been appointed as DG, Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for a tenure of five years. He will replace Praveen Mal Khanooja (IA&AS:1994).
  11. R Lakshmanan (IAS:2004:BH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for an overall tenure of five years upto 14.02.2024. He will replace Vikram Singh (lRTS:1997).
  12. Ms. Hena Usman (IPoS:1999) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for a tenure of five years vice A K Tiwari (IAS:1990:KN).
  13. Prem Kumar Jha (IFoS:1993:OR) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Sports for an overall tenure of five years upto 19.09.2026 vice Siddhartha Singh Longjam (IA&AS:1994).
