Andhra Pradesh : R P Thakur likely to be appointed as MD, RTC

R P Thakur (IPS:1986:AP), Former DGP of Andhra Pradesh, is likely to be appointed as Managing Director of Road Transport Corporation soon. He will replace another senior IPS officer N.V. Surendra Babu (IPS:1987:AP).

Thakur was sidelined after YSRC government came to power in Andhra Pradesh. He took charge as state DGP on July 1, 2018, but was removed on June 30, 2019 and posted as commissioner, printing and stationary wing of the police department, after Jaganmohan Reddy took over as CM.
