Senior IPS officer Abhay (IPS:1986:OR) has been appointed as Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, a premier training institute of the country for the Indian Police Service officers. Abhay is at present Director General (ADG Level) of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
He has been appointed as the head of the academy for a combined tenure up to his superannuation on June 30, 2021.
