New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Rakesh Kumar for the post of Director (Operations) at Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL).
Kumar is currently serving as General Manager, Technical Services, at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). The recommendation was made at the PESB selection meeting held on October 9, 2026.
Kumar will succeed P Kannan, who has been serving as Director (Operations) at CPCL since August 1, 2023, and is due to retire on October 31, 2026.
The PESB had advertised the vacancy on February 20, 2026, inviting applications from eligible candidates for the key executive position at the public sector oil refining company.
A total of 9 candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel for the post. They were:
