Pankaj Kumar Singh gets six months extension as Additional Secretary in GST Council Secretariat

Pankaj Kumar Singh gets a six-month extension as Additional Secretary in the GST Council Secretariat until March 9, 2027.

New Delhi: The central deputation tenure of Pankaj Kumar Singh (IDAS:1994) as Additional Secretary in the GST Council Secretariat, Department of Revenue, has been extended by six months.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (October 7, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of his deputation tenure for six months beyond September 9, 2026, up to March 9, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Singh has been serving as Additional Secretary in the GST Council Secretariat since August 2022. He had joined central deputation as Joint Secretary on September 9, 2021, for a period of five years and was subsequently appointed to his current position.
