Sagar Singh Kalsi appointed Director in Ministry of Power on lateral shift basis

Sagar Singh Kalsi has been appointed Director in the Ministry of Power on lateral shift basis till February 23, 2030.

New Delhi: IPS officer Sagar Singh Kalsi (IPS:2010:AGMUT), currently serving as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been appointed Director in the Ministry of Power on lateral shift basis.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (September 17, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB) for his appointment.

Kalsi will hold the post until February 23, 2030, which is the balance period of his five-year deputation tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme at Director level, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Kalsi assumed charge as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on February 23, 2025, for a period of five years.
