10 IIS Officers Promoted to ADG Level and Transferred

New Delhi: The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has promoted 10 officers of the Indian Information Service (IIS), Group ‘A’, from the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) to the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) at the Additional Director General (ADG) level.

According to an order issued by the Ministry on Thursday (September 3, 2026), the promotions have been made on a regular basis in Level-14 of the Pay Matrix and will take effect from the date of assumption of charge of the new posts.

The names of the officers and their postings details are as follows;

1. Nilesh Kumar Kalbhor, NMW, New Delhi, on the strength of CBC, New Delhi, has been promoted and posted as ADG, EMMC, New Delhi.
2. Ajmera Gopal Santoshi, UPSC, New Delhi, on Central Deputation, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, Kolkata, along with the additional charge of Vice Chancellor, SRFTI, Kolkata.
3. Keerti Tiwari, NITI Aayog, on Central Deputation, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
4. Sidharth Babanrao Bodke, DDK, Mumbai, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, Mumbai, along with the additional charge of PIB, Ahmedabad and DDK, Ahmedabad.
5. Mahesh Kumar, PIB, New Delhi, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
6. Nanda Kishore Reddy Mallangi, PIB, New Delhi, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
7. Navneet Kaur, Capacity Building Commission, on Central Deputation, has been promoted and posted as ADG, CBC, New Delhi.
8. Varun Bhardwaj, CBSE, Department of School Education & Literacy, on Central Deputation, has been promoted to the Senior Administrative Grade. As he is presently on deputation, he may either report back to his cadre to avail the promotion or, if he intends to continue on deputation, opt for proforma promotion as per the applicable rules.
9. J. Kamaraj, CBC, Regional Office, Chennai, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, Chennai.
10. Rashmi Roja Thushara Nair, PIB, New Delhi, has been promoted and posted as ADG (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
