Satish Sethi appointed Joint Secretary, Lokpal

New Delhi: Satish Sethi (IA&AS:2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Lokpal, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

According to an order issued by the DoPT on Monday (August 10, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment for an overall tenure of five years, up to July 16, 2028, from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Sethi will succeed Abhishek Bhagotia (IAS:2007:AM) as Joint Secretary, Lokpal. Bhagotia has been serving in the position since April 2024.
