Bejoy John appointed Director in Department of Higher Education

New Delhi: Bejoy John (IRS-C&IT:2008) has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Higher Education, Delhi.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (July 31, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure up to January 23, 2028 (i.e. balance period of his five-year deputation at the Director level), or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Bejoy John is presently on compulsory wait in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Prior to this, he was serving as Private Secretary to Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying George Kurian.

In June 2024, he was appointed as Private Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) after his tenure as Director was curtailed.
