New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued separate orders appointing two 2016-batch IPS officers to key positions on central deputation.
Vikram Kapali Porwal (IPS:2016:AGMUT) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary (Bureau of Overseas Security) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). According to the MHA order issued on July 28, 2026, his appointment will be for an initial period of two years from the date of joining the MEA.
In a separate order, Viswanadh R (IPS:2016:KL) has been inducted as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA). His appointment has been made on the usual terms and conditions governing central deputation.
