The Karnataka government on Saturday (May 2, 2026) carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring four IAS officers and effecting key changes in the Finance Department and Kalaburagi district administration.
Fouzia Taranum B (IAS:2015:KN), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner, Kalaburagi, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Bengaluru. She replaces Randeep D, who was holding the post on concurrent charge.
Mohammed Ikramulla Shariff (IAS:2016:KN), Joint Secretary (Budget and Resources) in the Finance Department, Bengaluru, has been moved as Deputy Commissioner, Kalaburagi, replacing Fouzia Taranum.
Dr Gopal Krishna B (IAS:2018:KN), Deputy Secretary to Government-3 in the Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to Government (Budget and Resources), Finance Department, Bengaluru.
Ruchi Bindal (IAS:2020;KN), Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Haveri, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary to Government-3, Finance Department, Bengaluru, replacing Dr. Gopal Krishna B.
