Debashree Mukherjee to continue as NCVET Chairperson for 6 Months

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has accorded ex-post facto approval for the extension of additional charge of the post of Chairperson, National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), to Debashree Mukherjee (IAS:1991:AGMUT).

Mukherjee, who is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, will continue to hold the additional charge for a further period of six months with effect from March 1, 2026.

According to the order issued on March 20, 2026, the extension will remain valid till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
