Harish Singh Papola (IRPFS:2015) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (December 15, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment at the level of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Communications.
The appointment will be effective from the date of assumption of charge and will remain valid up to October 10, 2028, which is the maximum admissible tenure of seven years away from the parent cadre. The tenure will be co-terminus with the Minister or until he ceases to function as OSD or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
