IPS officer Mohit Chawla (IPS:2010:HP) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday (August 18, 2025), the competent authority has approved his appointment against an existing vacancy under the standard terms and conditions of central deputation.
The MHA has further directed the concerned authorities to relieve him immediately so that he may join his new assignment at ITBP without delay.
