Following the retirement of three DG-level officers in Uttar Pradesh on 31 May—DGP Prashant Kumar (IPS:1990:UP), DG Prisons PV Ramashastri (IPS:1990:UP), and DG Telecom Dr. Sanjay M Tarde (IPS:1990:UP)—the state government on Monday reassigned their charges to other senior IPS officers.
Senior IPS officer PC Meena (IPS:1991:UP), currently serving as DG/ CMD of the Police Housing Corporation, has been given additional charge of Prisons Administration and Reform Services. Ashutosh Pandey (IPS:1992:UP), has been appointed as DG, Telecom. Neera Rawat (IPS:1993:UP), has been posted as DG, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), with additional charge of UP-112.
Alongside the retirement of the three DG-rank officers, three ADG-level officers—Ashutosh Pandey, Anand Swaroop (IPS:1992:UP), and Neera Rawat—were promoted to DG rank. Anand Swaroop’s new posting has not yet been announced.
