Himachal, Uttarakhand HCs get new Chief Justices

President of India Droupadi Murmu on Monday (23.12.2024) appointed Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia and Justice Narender G as the Chief Justices of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand High Courts, respectively.

Justice Sandhawalia, currently serving as a judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, will succeed Justice Rajiv Shakdher following his retirement on October 18, as recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on September 17.

Justice Narender G., a judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, was recommended for elevation by the Collegium on September 24.
