The Appointment Committee of Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the appointment of 10 MDs & CEOs of state-owned banks.Five of the 10 newly named MDs and CEOs are working as deputy managing directors in SBI.
Those appointed to the posts are:
1. Padmaja Chundru has been appointed as MD & CEO of Indian Bank for tenure ending Aug 2021. She is presently working as Deputy Managing Director of SBI.
2. Mrutyunjay Mahapatra has been appointed as MD & CEO of Syndicate Bank for a tenure ending May 2020.He is presently working as Deputy Managing Director of SBI.
3. Pallav Mohapatra has been appointed as MD & CEO of Central Bank of India for a tenure ending Feb 2021.He is presently working as Deputy Managing Director of SBI.
4. J Packirisamy has been appointed as MD & CEO of Andhra Bank for a period ending Feb 2021.He is presently working as Deputy Managing Director of SBI.
5. Karnam Shekhar has been appointed as MD & CEO of Dena Bank for a tenure ending June 2020.He is presently working as Deputy Managing Director of SBI.
6. Ch. S S Mallikarjuna Rao has been appointed as MD & CEO of Allahabad Bank initially for a period of 03 years which may be extendable till retirement in January 2022. He is presently working as Executive Director, Syndicate Bank.
7. A S Rajeev has been appointed as MD & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra initially for a tenure of 03 years (w.e.f 01.12.2018) which may be extended till retirement in May 2024. He is presently working as Executive Director, Indian Bank.
8. Atul Kumar Goel has been appointed as MD & CEO of UCO Bank (w.e.f 02 November 2018) initially for a period of 03 years which may be extendable up to 02 years. He is presently working as Executive Director,Union Bank of India.
9. S Harisnakar has been appointed as MD & CEO of Punjab & Sind Bank for a tunre ending May 2021. He is presently working as Executive Director, Allahabad Bank.
10. Ashok Kumar Pradhan has been appointed as MD & CEO of United Bank of India (w.e.f 01.10.2018) for a period ending May 2020. He is presently working as Executive Director, United Bank of India.
