The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday (25.07.2024) appointed senior IPS officer Shalini Singh (IPS:1996:AGMUT) as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Puducherry, effective from August 1, 2024. She will succeed incumbent DGP B Srinivasan (IPS:1991;AGMUT), who is set to retire on the same day.
Shalini Singh is currently serving as the Special Commissioner of Police, Economic Offence Wing (EOW), Delhi.
