The Union government on Wednesday (03.07.2024) notified appointment of Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi, Judge of Orissa High Court, as new Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium on December 27, 2023 had recommended the names of five judges including Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi to be appointed as Chief Justices of various High Courts.
Justice Sarangi will succeed Justice Ravi Ranjan, who recently retired.
