The Ministry of External Affairs has designated Ms. Vani Sarraju Rao (IFS: 1994) as the forthcoming Ambassador of India to the Republic of Italy. Presently, she holds the position of Additional Secretary within the Ministry of External Affairs.
Ms. Vani Sarraju Rao is expected to take up her new role as India’s Ambassador to Italy in the near future. She brings a wealth of experience to this post, having previously erved as India’s Ambassador to Finland and Estonia, starting in July 2017. She returned to Delhi in July 2020 and assumed the role of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.
