Ashish Bhargava (IAS:2012:MP), who served as Deputy Secretary of DPIIT, has had his tenure shortened. He has now been laterally transferred to the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) in New Delhi, where he has been appointed as its Director General (DG). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Saturday, the 14th of October 2023, stating that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given approval for this decision. This change in his role will be effective until the 9th of November 2026, which amounts to a total period of 4 years at the Deputy Secretary (DS) level.
