The outgoing Chief Secretary Manu Kumar Srivastava (IAS:1986:MH) will become the new Chief Commissioner, Right to Guarantee of Services (RGS). It has been vacant since the tenure of former chief secretary Swdheen Kshatriya (Retd.1980:MH) ended. Srivastava is set to retire on April 30. Baldev Singh (IAS:1989:MH), the former Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), will be the RGS Commissioner for Konkan.

The two were selected by a committee led by CM Eknath Shinde and with Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis and opposition leader Ajit Pawar as its members on Wednesday.

The government also gave additional charge of chief information commissioner to information commissioner Sunil Porwal after the end of tenure of Sumit Mullick on April 12.
