Several days after Jharkhand BJP released a video that purportedly showed IAS officer Rajiv Arun Ekka (IAS:1994:JH) signing files at alleged middleman Vishal Choudhary’s house, the Enforcement Directorate summoned him on March 15. According to ED sources, during searches at spots linked to Vishal Chaudhary, the economic intelligence agency had found documents related to Ekka.
Ekka was the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and also held Home and Public Relations Department portfolios but hours after the video was released on March 5, the state government issued a notification transferring the IAS officer to the Panchayati Raj Department.
