The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Friday (31.12.2021) appointed Vinay Kumar Tripathi (IRSE:1983) as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Railway Board, New Delhi. Presently, he is serving as General Manager, North Eastern Railway (Gorakhpur).
Tripathi will replace Suneet Sharma, a 1982 batch IRSME officer.
Tripathi will continue to the coveted post till December 31.12.2022. He is scheduled to retire on June 30, 2022. Post his retirement he will continue as Chairman & CEO on a re-appointment basis.
