The Modi government has appointed senior IAS officer Dharam Pal (IAS:1988:AGMUT) as new adviser of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued the transfer orders of the AGMUT cadre officer on Monday.
Prior to this assignment, he was serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Fertilizers under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, New Delhi.
Dharam Pal replaces outgoing UT Adviser Manoj Parida (IAS:1986:AGMUT), who was transferred to Delhi on June 17 as the Chairman of the National Authority of Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC).
