A young tech savvy IAS officer in Uttar Pradesh, Prashant Sharma (IAS:2012:UP), has developed a website that can be useful in fighting the coronavirus. The website coronajankari.com has a tool that can alert authorities about suspected COVID patients and, at the same time, offer advice to users.
The officer says that his website targets crores of Hindi speaking people in North and Central India. It has information related to COVID, government guidelines, tests, and even a helpline.
A person can fill in details about his/her age, gender, symptoms if any, travel history, pin codes of his/her address etc. on the website to know if he/she is a suspected COVID patient. The website will advise the person whether he/she needs to go to hospital, stay at home or call a helpline.
The website would also help authorities take preventive steps to contain the spread of the dreaded COVID.
