West Bengal reshuffles 18 IAS officers; Surendra Gupta posted as PS Land Reforms

The West Bengal government on Tuesday (June 9, 2026) carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle and issued transfer and posting orders for 18 IAS officers across departments including Food & Supplies, Transport, Land Reforms, Technical Education, Housing, Environment and Youth Services.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Jagdish Prasad Meena (IAS:2004:WB), Secretary, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department with additional charge of Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Department of Food and Supplies.
2. Dr Ravi Inder Singh (IAS:1994:WB), Principal Secretary, Self-Help Group and Self-Employment Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Transport Department.
3. Dr Saumitra Mohan (IAS:2002:WB), Secretary to Governor of West Bengal, has been additional charge of Secretary, Information and Cultural Affairs Department.
4. Parwez Ahmad Siddiqui (IAS:1999:WB), Principal Secretary, Department of Food and Supplies, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, State Gazetteers.
5. Surendra Gupta (IAS:1997:WB), Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Land and Land Reforms and Refugee, Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
6. Anoop Kumar Agrawal (IAS:1993:WB), Divisional Commissioner, Jalpaiguri Division, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles Department.
7. Rajeev Kumar (IAS:1997:WB), Additional Director General, NSATI, West Bengal, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Training and Skill Development Department.
8. Moumita Godara Basu (IAS:2007:WB), Secretary in Department of Health and Family Welfare, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department.
9. Rajesh Pandey (IAS:1995:WB), Additional Chief Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department.
10. R Vimala (IAS:2010:WB), Managing Director, WBSIDC, MSME and Textiles Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, North Bengal Development Department.
11. Rachna Bhagat (IAS:2009:WB), Director, ICDS in the rank of Secretary, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Labour Department.
12. Mukta Arya (IAS:2008:WB), Secretary in Industry, Commerce and Enterprises Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Sundarban Affairs Department.
13. Dushyant Nariala (IAS:1993:WB), Principal Resident Commissioner in the rank of Additional Chief Secretary, has been transferred and posted as Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi with additional charge of Director General, NSATI and Chairman, SNTCSSC.
14. Nandini Chakravorty (IAS:1994:WB), Principal Coordinator of Development Works in Chief Minister’s Office, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Science and Technology and Bio-Technology Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Housing Department.
15. Randhir Kumar (IAS:2006:WB), Director of Land Records and Survey -cum-DEO, Kolkata South, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department with additional charge of Secretary in Finance Department.
16. Raju Mishra (IAS:2015:WB), Special Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Excise Commissioner.
17. Rajesh Kumar Sinha (IAS:1997:WB), Principal Secretary, Housing Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department and Principal Secretary, Disaster Management and Civil Defence Department and with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Animal Resources Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Irrigation and Waterways Department.
18. Neelam Meena (IAS:1998:WB), Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal and ex-officio Principal Secretary, Home and Hill Affairs (Election) Department, has been transferred and posted as Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Environment Department.
