WB: Four IAS officers shifted, Anil Verma is ACS of Agriculture Marketing Department

The West Bengal government on Wednesday (24.05.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for four senior IAS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Anil Verma (IAS:1989:WB), Chairman, West Bengal Valuation Board, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Marketing Department with additional charge of Chairman, West Bengal Valuation Board with effect from the date of superannuation of Dr. A Subbiah (IAS:1992:WB) on May 31, 2023,
2. Dr. Vijay Bharti (IAS:2005:WB), Commissioner, Burdwan Division with additional charge of Commissioner, Presidency Division, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority with additional charges Commissioner, Burdwan Division and Commissioner, Presidency Division.
3. Niranjan Kumar (IAS:2007:WB), Secretary, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, has been transferred and posted as Registrar of Co-operative Societies.
4. Devi Prasad Karanam (IAS:2008:WB), Managing Director, West Bengal Essential Commodities Supply Corporation Ltd. with additional charge of Senior Special Secretary, Food and Supplies Department, has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary, Finance Department.
