Vinay Kumar (IFS:1992) was on Tuesday appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. He will replace incumbent Saurabh Kumar (IFS:1989), who has been shifted to Ministry of External Affairs as Secretary (East). Presently, Kumar is serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
