UPSC Result 2021: Shruti Sharma tops, 685 qualify


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results for the UPSC Civil Services exam 2021 today on May 30. Candidates who have appeared for the UPSC CSE interview can check the list of candidates selected online on the official website

Shruti Sharma has secured All India Rank 1 in the final result declared today. In a first, all top 3 ranks have gone to women this year. Following Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal has secured AIR 2 and AIR 3 has been secured by Gamini Singla. UPSC Mark Sheet for the candidates would be released on the official website soon.

A total of 685 candidates have been recommended for appointment based on their performance in mains and personality test. Total 749 Vacancies reported were, 180 would be places in IAS cadre, 37 in IFS, 200 in IPS, 242 in Central Services Group A and 90 in Group B Services. Apart from the recommended, a list of 80 candidates have been provisionally recommended.

The UPSC CSE preliminary exam was held on October 10, 2021, and the results of the examination were released on October 29. The main examination was conducted from January 7 to 16, 2022, and the results were declared on March 17, 2022. The Interview was the last round of the examination which began on April 5 and concluded on May 26.
