The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the final result of the Civil Services Examination, 2022. This year also women bagged the top positions with Ishita Kishore securing the first position. Garima Lohia came second, Uma Harathi N is the third topper, and Smriti Mishra bagged the fourth rank in the coveted examination.
A total of 933 successful candidates – 613 men and 320 women – were recommended for appointment to various posts by the Commission. Among these, there are 345 candidates from the General Category, 99 candidates from the EWS category, 263 candidates from the OBC category, 154 candidates from the SC category, and 72 candidates from the ST category, making up the comprehensive list of successful candidates.
In addition to the recommended candidates, the UPSC Final Results 2022 also includes a Rsereve list of candidates. The Reserve List comprises 178 candidates, with 89 candidates from the General category, 28 candidates from the EWS category, 52 candidates from the OBC category, 5 candidates from the SC category, and 4 candidates from the ST category.
The UPSC CSE preliminary exam was held on June 5, 2022, and the results were released on June 22. The main examination was conducted from September 16 to 25, and the results were declared on December 6. The interviews concluded on May 18.
