Retired IPS officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh (Retd.IPS:1987:UP) was on Friday appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Uttar Pradesh for a period of three years.
The post of CIC was lying vacant after the retirement of Jawed Usmani (Retd.IAS:1978:UP) about a year ago.
