Controversial Uttar Pradesh IAS officer Rinkoo Singh Rahee (IAS:2023:UP) is at the centre of yet another controversy. This time for making derogatory comments about Shaheed Bhagat Singh in his address during Independence Day celebrations held at the Orai Collectorate auditorium in Jalaun.
Rahee is currently posted as Sub-District Magistrate (Judicial) at Orai.
In the viral video, he is heard commenting on Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, saying that Bhagat Singh was the biggest fool in today’s world and was never a good child.
However, the full context of his comment remains unclear, the video has led people to react angrily on social media.
People are understandably outraged, calling it an insult to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who was one of the leading revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. The context of the entire speech and his remarks are also being debated at the local level as well.
Needless to mention, Bhagat Singh fought against British rule and was martyred at the age of 23, and his insult by an IAS officer on Independence Day is a serious issue.
