UP: 11 IAS officers shifted, new DMs in 6 districts, 2 get additional charges

In a significant administrative reorganization, the Uttar Pradesh government executed a major reshuffle on Friday (29.09.2023) involving the transfer of nine IAS officers. This reshuffle included the relocation of six District Magistrates (DM) and one Chief Development Officer (CDO). Additionally, two IAS officers received additional responsibilities alongside their existing postings. On Saturday (30.09.2023), the state government further made adjustments by appointing two more IAS officers of the 2020 batch as Chief Development Officers (CDOs) in various districts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. M Devaraj (IAS:1996:UP), Principal Secretary, Technical Education, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Vocational Education & Skill Development Department.
2. Dr. M K S Sundaram (IAS:1997:UP), Principal Secretary, Vocational Education & Skill Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Basic Education Department.
3. Partha Sarthi Sensharma (IAS:1994:UP), Principal Secretary, Medical, Health & Family Welfare Department, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Medical Education Department.
4. Bal Krishna Tripathi (IAS-SCS:2008:UP), Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch, has been transferred and posted as Incharge Commissioner, Chitrakoot Division.
5. C Indhumathy (IAS:2012:UP), Mission Director, UP State Rural Livelihood Mission, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate of Fatehpur.
6. Kritika Jyotsna (IAS:2014:UP), Special Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies Department and MD, UP State Food and Essential Commodities Corporation, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate of Sultanpur.
7. Anunaya Jha (IAS:2015:UP), Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Mathura-Vrindavan, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate of Maharajganj.
8. Satyendra Kumar (IAS:2013:UP), District Magistrate of Maharajganj, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate of Barabanki.
9. Avinash Kumar (IAS:2013:UP), District Magistrate of Barabanki, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate of Jhansi.
10. Ravindra Kumar-II (IAS:2011:UP), District Magistrate of Jhansi, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate of Bareilly.
11. Praveen Verma (IAS:2017:UP), CDO, Ballia, has been transferred and posted as CEO, Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority.
12. Ojaswi Raj (IAS:2020:UP), Joint Magistrate, Meerut, has been transferred and posted as CDO, Ballia.
13. Nupur Goel (IAS:2020:UP), Joint Magistrate, Unnao, has been transferred and posted as CDO, Meerut.
