Two officers serving as Additional Private Secretaries (APSs) to Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav have been relieved of their assignments with immediate effect following separate office orders issued by the Ministry on July 3, 2026, in pursuance of a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Office Memorandum dated July 2, 2026.
According to the first order, Shailesh Kumar Singh, a Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer serving as APS to the Minister, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), with the provision of extended cooling-off. He has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect and directed to report to his parent cadre immediately.
In a separate order issued on the same day, the Ministry terminated the appointment of Ayush Saran as Additional Private Secretary to the Union Minister with immediate effect. He has also been relieved of his duties forthwith.
Both orders state that the action has been taken with the approval of the competent authority and in pursuance of the DoPT Office Memorandum dated July 2, 2026. However, the orders do not mention the reasons for the premature repatriation of Shailesh Kumar Singh or the termination of Ayush Saran’s appointment.
