Alok Kumar (IAS:1990:TR) has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Government of Tripura on Tuesday. He replaces Manoj Kumar (IAS:1990:TR) upon his appointment as Special Chief Resident Commissioner in New Delhi. As per the notification, Manoj Kumar will function as the Head of the Department, Tripura Bhawan.
The Central government had on Monday repatriated Alok Kumar presently serving as Additional Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat on the request of the State government.
