Telangana govt reshuffles 12 IPS officers; Sunpreet Singh moved to Cyberabad, N Swetha posted as Warangal CP

The Telangana government on Monday (June 29, 2026) effected a reshuffle in the police department, issuing transfer and posting orders for 12 IPS officers. The reshuffle includes transfers as well as additional charge assignments across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Ambar Kishor Jha (IPS:2009:TG), Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Zone-I, Kaleshwaram.
2. D Joel Davis (IPS:2010:TG), Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad City, has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Zone-V, Yadadri.
3. Sunpreet Singh (IPS:2011:TG), Commissioner of Police, Warangal, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Cyberabad. He has also been placed in full additional charge of the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Zone-III, Rajanna.
4. N Swetha (IPS:2012:TG), Joint Commissioner of Police (L&O), North Range, Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Warangal. She has also been placed in full additional charge of the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Zone-IV, Bhadradri.
5. R Bhaskaran (IPS:2012:TG), DIG, CI Cell, Intelligence, has been placed in full additional charge of the post of DIG, Zone-II, Basara.
6. S M Vijay Kumar (IPS:2012:TG), Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Hyderabad City, has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Joint Commissioner of Police (L&O), North Range, Hyderabad City.
7. Ch Sindu Sarma (IPS:2014:TG), Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad. She has also been placed in full additional charge of the post of Superintendent of Police, SIB.
8. Y Sai Sekhar (IPS:SPS:2018), on transfer, has been posted as Superintendent of Railway Police, Secunderabad.
9. Chernuri Rupesh (IPS:2017:TG), Deputy Commissioner of Police, SM&IT, Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID.
10. Ch Praveen Kumar (IPS:SPS:2017), Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID.
11. R Venkateshwarlu (IPS:SPS:2018), awaiting posting, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, CAR Headquarters, Hyderabad City. Consequently, the earlier orders posting him as Superintendent of Police, CID have been cancelled.
12. Rajesh Meena (IPS:2022:TG), Additional SP (Administration), Wanaparthy, has been transferred and posted as Additional SP (Administration), Vikarabad.
