Tamil Nadu transfers 6 IAS officers; Pradeep Yadav moved to IT Department

The Tamil Nadu government on Friday (May 15, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for six IAS officers, affecting departments including Information Technology, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Textiles.

The names of the officers and their new postings are as follows:

1. Pradeep Yadav (IAS:1992:TN), Additional Chief Secretary/formerly Secretary to then Deputy Chief Minister, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology and Digital Services Department.
2. TN Venkatesh (IAS:2001:TN), Principal Secretary/Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu Maritime Board, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department.
3. Dr P Shankar (IAS:2006:TN), former Secretary, Higher Education Department, has been transferred and posted Agriculture Production Commissioner and Secretary, Agriculture-Farmers Welfare Department.
4. G Latha (IAS:2007:TN), Commissioner, Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, has been transferred and posted as Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
5. B Gayathri Krishnan (IAS:2013:TN), on return from leave, has been posted as Director (Society Security Schemes), Office of the Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management.
6. Deepak Jacob (IAS:2014:TN), Director, Survey and Settlement, has been transferred and placed his services at disposal of GUIDANCE for appointment as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Office.
