Swagat Das (IPS:1987:CG) has been appointed as Special Secretary (Internal Security), Ministry of Home Affairs. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (23.06.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Das as Spl. Secretary (Internal Security) till November 30, 2024, the date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier. At present, he was posted as the Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau.
