Six IAS officers transferred to Delhi to assist in Covid fight

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday directed immediate transfer of 6 Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers from Centre, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar to Delhi to assist in the COVID-19 management in the national capital.

The order was issued within hours of a high-level meeting Shah held with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Awanish Kumar (IAS:2014:AGMUT) and Monica Priyadarshini (IAS:2014:AGMUT) from Andaman & Nicobar, and Gaurav Singh Rajawat (IAS:2011:AGMUT) along with Vikram Singh Mallik (IAS:2012:AGMUT) from Arunachal Pradesh were transferred to New Delhi to assist GNCTD for management of COVID-19.

The Home Minister also directed attachment to GNCTD of two senior IAS officers – SCL Das (IAS:1992:AGMUT) and SS Yadav (IAS:1995:AGMUT) from Centre.
